Michael died at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary on August 4. True to form, he had asked his brother Frank not to have any kind of memorial, but he also asked me if I would deliver some kind of eulogy. So what can we do but have at least an informal gathering of Michael’s family and friends, a chance to have a drink to his memory and share some stories? And as was asked of me, I will deliver some kind of eulogy in his honour.
We will gather at 5 Senses Ramen & Bistro located at 634A 17th Avenue SW in Calgary on Sunday October 18 from 2 till 4 in the afternoon.
Refreshments will be available which you will have to pay for yourselves.
Nothing too formal. Just a chance for those of us who knew him to gather and honour the passing of a remarkable man.

Following the event, I will share my eulogy for Michael on this blog of mine. It’s not an easy thing to write, as Michael was a very important person in my life for many years.
