The Piano Teacher is my first novel, published by B House Publications in Calgary in May, 2015.
The novel was awarded the W.O. Mitchell Award in 2016.
It is written in the form of a journal of an unnamed concert pianist who is drawn back into the real world when he is asked to teach piano lessons to a 7 year old girl.
It has been available in the past at Shelf Life Books, Owl’s Nest or Pages in Kensington, all in Calgary; as well as the Calgary Public Library. As of 2025, it is basically out of print, but it is possible to order a copy online (a physical book, there is no ebook at this point in time) — please use this link:
